Coupon Decoder Lite 1.4

Ever wondered about the hidden information stored within the barcodes on your Sunday newspaper coupons? Your curiosity ends here. Coupon Decoder Lite, a universal app, enables users to utilize the camera on their iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch (with auto-focus capability) to effortlessly scan these barcodes and promptly decipher and present all data in an easily readable format.

The lite version allows for decoding of a maximum of 10 coupons per calendar day. For unlimited decoding capabilities, the full version of Coupon Decoder is available for purchase.

Information Decoded

• Current Format - Databar:
  • Savings - Description of savings. For example: "Buy 2 Items Get $1.00 Off."
  • Manufacturer ID - 5 to 12 digit value.
  • Family Code - 3 digit value.
  • Offer Code - 6 digit value.
  • Expiration - Expiration date of the coupon, when available.
  • Doubling Allowed - Indicates whether doubling/tripling of the savings is allowed.
  • Alternate Eligible Product - Details on other qualifying products, when available.
  • Other Purchase Requirement - Additional purchase requirement, if applicable.
• Original Format - UPC-A / EAN-13:
  • Savings - Description of savings. For example: "Buy 2 Items Get $1.00 Off."
  • Manufacturer ID - 5 digit value.
  • Family Code - 3 digit value.
  • Doubling Allowed - Indicates whether doubling/tripling of the savings is allowed.
• Extended Format - UPC-A + GS1-128:
  • Savings - Description of savings. For example: "Buy 2 Items Get $1.00 Off."
  • Manufacturer ID - 5 digit value.
  • Family Code - 3 digit value.
  • Offer Code - 6 digit value, when available.
  • Expiration - Expiration date of the coupon, when available.
  • Doubling Allowed - Indicates whether doubling/tripling of the savings is allowed.

Note:

• If encountering scanning issues:
  Solutions: Watch the app in action on YouTube! Make sure to utilize a device with an auto-focus camera; refer to Disclosure #1. Select the appropriate barcode type from the scan tab, accompanied by sample images and verbal descriptions. Ensure adequate lighting. Position the camera approximately 3 to 4 inches away from the coupon. Pause and await camera focus. If necessary, shake the iPhone/iPad to prompt focus adjustment. Disclosure:

• Device with an auto-focus camera is required. Supported devices include iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5/5s/5c, the new iPad 3/4/Mini, and iPod Touch (released Oct 2012 or later). Not supported are iPhone 3, iPad 1, iPad 2, and iPod Touch (<=4th Gen).
